The Irish Heritage Festival Irish-American of the year award
is presented to a member of our community who represents and contributes to the
ideals of our heritage, both Irish and American, in an uncommon way.
Previous recipients of this award were:

1997-Sr. Ann Daly
1998-Joe Bray and posthumously to Bob Callahan

2001-Among the nearly 3,000 lost on 9-11 were 44 Souls who were relatives,
friends, neighbors and co-workers of the Orange County collective family.
In honor of them, their families and the survivors, and in tribute to the many,
many heroes, professional and civilian, who gave of themselves tirelessly and
without hesitation, the Irish Heritage Festival Committee voted unanimously to
cancel the Festival.
