About Us

 The Irish Heritage Festival Committee

The Irish Heritage Festival Committee runs the Festival as a not-for-profit, annual event dedicated to service to the community and to preserving the many aspects of Irish culture.

"We have a precious legacy, inherited from our ancestors to insure that Irish traditions and heritage are carried on for the children of today and those of future generations.

The Irish Heritage Festival Committee exists to sustain and foster this legacy by developing programs and events within the community.  We work with Irish Associations in the area to provide opportunities to promote Irish Culture.  We also contribute to local organizations and have established an Irish American Scholarship Fund in Orange County.

It is our intention to establish an Irish Heritage Center to serve the needs of the Irish American community.  This center will provide a place for meetings, lectures, dance and music workshops and learning seminars.  We hope that in this way we will ensure that our children will benefit from our rich and unique Irish heritage."

Contributions to the Community

We have contributed over the past years to St. Albert's Priory, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inspire-The Cerebral Palsy Center, Pius XII Early Learning Center, Rotary International, Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry, AHRC of Orange County, Maureen Murphy Memorial Fund, Project Children, Middletown Lions, Mid-Hudson St. Patrick's Day Parade, Knights of Columbus, 9-11 Remembrance Walkway and Garden at Orange County Park Arboretum, Orange County Veterans, American Cancer Society Middletown Chapter Relay for Life, Nora Cronin Presentation Early Learning Center, Newburgh, NY, Local Flood Victims through Orange County Catholic Charities Community Services.
